How to use MOVICOL^®

Mixing MOVICOL

MOVICOL is a white powder that comes in sachets. For optimum benefit, you need to mix the sachet contents with the correct amount of water:

Stir it well until dissolved (the water becomes clear again, even for MOVICOL Chocolate).

MOVICOL can then be taken as is, but if you wish, you can add a small amount of cordial to the mixed solution (for any MOVICOL flavour).

If you are taking more than one dose per day you can spread them out, for example one morning and night or add a third dose in the middle of the day.  However, it is of course perfectly acceptable to take the whole dose at once as often recommended.  You should always follow your doctor's instructions.

For patients who find it difficult to manage a whole dose at once, MOVICOL can be sipped through the day.  

After mixing, MOVICOL can be stored for 24 hours in the fridge for later consumption. You can take MOVICOL at any time of day that is convenient.
