Who can use MOVICOL^®?

• MOVICOL full strength can be used from the age of 12 years.

• MOVICOL-Half and MOVICOL Junior can be used from 2 years of age.

• The MOVICOL range is suitable for almost everyone. It is contraindicated (should not be used) in patients with intestinal perforation, bowel obstruction, inflammatory bowel disorders or an allergy to macrogol or other ingredients of MOVICOL.*

• MOVICOL is unlikely to interact with other medications.

• For occasional sufferers of constipation, MOVICOL’s gentle action allows comfortable and effective relief, while for chronic cases (particularly the elderly), MOVICOL can be used over time to gradually bring bowel movements back under control.

• MOVICOL can be used by patients with impaired cardiovascular function (though with higher doses used to treat faecal impaction they should take no more than two sachets per hour*).

• MOVICOL can be used by patients with renal insufficiency with no need to adjust the dose.

• The MOVICOL range contains no sucrose (sugar). (Some varieties contain acesulfame K, a sweetener not known to affect blood sugar).

• There is no experience of the use of MOVICOL during pregnancy or breastfeeding. MOVICOL should only be used if considered essential by your doctor.

The MOVICOL range is gluten and lactose free.
